Data Center simulation

Data Center simulation for optimum CRAC number and location due to the increasing Data Centers powers

The ever increasing power requirement for new Data Center and especially denser servers has created the need for optimizing the Data Center cooling system.

The rack power increases dramatically from about 3-4 KW few years ago to about 20-30 KW today. Data Center cannot be designed based on the total cooling capacity, the design must take in to account any single rack, to ensure that every rack will receive the needed air flow.

By using CoolitDC (a software product of Daat Research Corp) the air flow and temperatures are simulated during the design process for optimal cooling. The numbers of CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioners) are calculated as well as the raised floor and raised selling. The open tiles number can be calculated and graphically seen as well.
